Printable Father’s Day Poster

I recently found a poster my sister made for our dad when she was in Kindergarten (I think). Someone sat with her, read each statement and wrote in her answers like “Dad’s hobby is sleeping”. It was such a funny thing to read years later and chuckle over. I’m so glad my mom kept it all these years.

As soon as I found that old poster I knew I wanted to do the same with my daughter this year for Father’s Day. So I created my own updated version that can easily be printed on your home printer, filled out and coloured in. You can download a copy here on my Teachers Pay Teachers account Mme Kluska Teaches.

For young children, I recommend sitting with them and completing each sentence by writing their words. You can print a photo to glue into the frame, or have them draw a picture of their dad. For older school-aged children this poster can be used as a simple independent writing activity.

My 3 year old sat with me while I filled in her answers.

Since I teach French, I also made a French version of the poster included in the download! I will be using this as a writing activity with my grade 3 students this year.
*Update! I also created multiple versions with different names for dad. Download now includes posters for dad, daddy, dada, papa, papi, baba, and babba.
